Message	fit the flywheel (manual) or flexplate (automatic) possition sensor. It is part of the ODB2 system. If you plan to use a 90-95 transmission on a '96 car you will need to either machine out the opening or swap over the bell - which on a automatic is pretty easy. Been there, done it.
